Erupe's Story

CRK works with children from throughout Kenya

Child Rescue Kenya is located in the town of Kitale, in Western Kenya, but children in CRK's programs come from all over Kenya. Erupe, age nine, comes from the Turkana region in the north. He says "I am from the desert. We used to herd goats. Baba had over 30 and we could trade milk and meat for other things. As the ground got drier our goats started to die. We don't have any now, Baba also died. There is so much hunger in Turkana".

Children like Erupe who make their way to Child Rescue Kenya are the lucky ones. There, Erupe found special care and protection. But there are many more children who are still on the streets in Kenya, and CRK will continue to be there to serve these children.
