We thank our generous donors so far, we know you are as anxious as we are to begin the work that is needed to restore the native forests of Guatuso.
Just last year, LRFF planted 35,000 (35 hectares) along the Rio Sol creating a biological corridor of native, tropical forest trees. This year, we aim to plant 70,000 trees or 70 hectares in five new projects, including this one.
We at La Reserva know that it is necessary to achieve full funding before beginning to work on our reforestation projects. If we plant too early, the young trees will be at risk from encroaching grass and vines which require constant attention and management to keep at bay. To give these new lungs of the earth the best chance of survival, we need to continue driving for donations, both here and in four other projects in the surrounding area.
Your support and interest in our work is very important to us. We hope that you will be inspired to spread the word, volunteer or donate to us so that we can restore our native forests to their true health and majesty!
