Umuryango means Family
By Barrett E. Frankel | Development & Communications Manager
"Family is the most important thing in the world."
--Princess Diana
Dear Friends,
May 15th marks the "International Day of Families," so this newsletter is paying homage to all of you who make up the Agahozo-Shalom umuryango, or family. Thank you for giving the time and resources that allow Agahozo-Shalom kids to evolve from being some of the most vulnerable and insecure children to good, caring, responsible citizens of the world, with the power to strengthen their own communities.
We simply couldn't do it without you!
Your commitment and support enables us to pursue our goals of helping some of the most vulnerable kids in Rwanda. Agahozo-Shalom represents the power of people from around the world coming together as a family to create a solution to a serious challenge. The potential significance of Agahozo-Shalom reaches far beyond Rwanda, as this project has immense capacity for replication and profound impact
As we forge ahead toward the Summer months, we ask that you continue to stand with us, celebrate the many accomplishments and successes that we have had, and help us take on the many challenges to achieve our mission, knowing that our work has the power to transform the lives of kids in Rwanda who are most in need. On behalf of our Board, staff, and every single one of our amazing kids and graduates, thank you for being a part of the Agahozo-Shalom family.
Warmest wishes,
Danielle Burenstein, Executive Director
