Rebuilding homes for wild orangutans & their young

An orangutan infant in it's mothers arms

Picture an orangutan mother searching desperately for fruit trees to feed her baby – but finding only empty, degraded land where lush rainforest once stood. Without the canopy highways and abundant food sources their ancestors knew, survival becomes a daily struggle.

But degraded doesn't mean destroyed forever.

This Wednesday, July 16th, your donation can be matched to help us rebuild the rainforest homes these families desperately need.

Through GlobalGiving's July Bonus Day, every dollar you give (from US$100 to US$1,000 or your currency equivalent) will be matched, amplifying your impact for orangutan conservation.

Your matched donation powers our rewilding work:

  • Replanting native fruit trees that provide food for orangutan mothers and babies
  • Restoring canopy connections so families can travel safely between feeding areas
  • Creating corridors of hope that transform barren landscapes back into thriving habitat

We use science and data to identify exactly which areas will have the greatest impact when restored – ensuring every tree we plant counts toward a future where orangutan mothers can once again raise their young in abundance.

The bond between orangutan mothers and babies has survived for millions of years. Your support helps ensure it survives for millions more.

Matching starts at 10 a.m. EDT (3 p.m. BST) on Wednesday, July 16th, and lasts for 24 hours.

The impact of your donation will be even greater this Wednesday, so please consider donating this July Bonus Day.
