2024 Annual Reports: Forests for Life

By Dominique Daruty | Fundraising Coordinator

There is so much being done within our Forests for Life project. Here is a small update!

Forests for Life Project in Numbers:

  • 284,124 indigenous trees planted to date

  • 17,000 trees planted this year

  • 3 active restoration projects …and counting!

Mistbelt Habitat Restoration Project (Hogsback, South Africa)

Together with the Wild Bird Trust’s Cape Parrot Project, we’re restoring habitats for South Africa’s only endemic (and endangered) parrot and supporting community nurseries for local champions. Last year, 5,000 trees were planted; another 3,000 are scheduled for this planting season.

How gorgeous are these creatures??

Uilenkraal Forest Restoration Project (Overberg, South Africa)
This July, we wrapped up the planting season with 17,000 new trees, bringing the total to 160,000+ since 2011!

Mulanje Landscape Restoration Project (Mulanje, Malawi)
Our team joined Mulanje Mission Hospital to strengthen monitoring, engage communities, and learn from their inspiring sustainable livelihoods in August. Despite global funding cuts, resilience remains strong!

Here are the 2024 Annual Reports for each of our active sites. We hope these shed light on the incredible work being done and inspire you to join the TREEvolution.

All our thanks,

Dominique and the Greenpop team.
