Making an "Empact" in the US Rescue Community!

Advanced Survival Training
Advanced Survival Training

This past three months, we've been heavily focused on expanding and improving our capabilities to respond here at home, as well helping other communities become more prepared. Since our last report, we've:

  • Trained 22 new members in field survival, land navigation, and multi-unit operations
  • Graduated our 2nd class of new rescue and medical personnel
  • Brought personal and community preparedness training to dozens of citizens of the PNW region;
  • Participated in the first annual marine "SAR Games" as an invited guest of Cajun Navy Relief in Baton Rouge, Louisiana
  • Put in service an advanced technical search kit comrpising of a search camera, acoustic/seismic sensors, and an unmanned aerial search platform

In the coming months, we'll be continuing our push for disaster preparedness and rescuer training

  • In June, we'll be training 24 local rescue professionals in technical rescue skills that would be essential after a major earthquake.
  • In July, we'll be hosting a command and control course for local professionals
  • In August, we hope to host a course in tree rescue for Pacific Northwest firefighters and rescue personnel
  • In August, we'll be putting on an advanced rope rescue course in the wilds of the Pacific Northwest

All of this is possible because of your contributions! We couldn't be more grateful.  Thank you for your ongoing support!
