*Garati is an outgoing, bright and adorable 6-year old girl. She was born and raised in India’s dangerous red-light districts, but today, she is safe and living in a better place thanks to you. As the newest child in the safe house, Garati was welcomed with joy.

Because of your gift, Garati has a safe place to sleep every night. She is receiving food, clothing, counseling, medical care and an excellent education at a nearby school.

Garati grew up surrounded by violence and abuse because her mother is a sex worker. Garati’s mother struggled to care for her daughter. She barely made enough to support the family. She wanted a better life for her child so she brought Garati to the safe house. Imagine your children or grand children growing up in that situation. 

Thanks to you children like Garati are being rescued from India's red-light districts and are now living in a safe house. Your gift is making a tremendous difference in the lives of women and children trapped in the life of a sexual slavery. Over the past few months, 133 women and 158 children living in the Red Light Districts have been helped. Thank you for being a vital part of this work.

Today Garati is happy to be in the safe house. Whenever her mother visits the safe house, she sees a visible change in her daughter. Garati is an intelligent and happy girl who loves learning.
