In the first quarter of this year (January-March) we have reached 3,936 animals through the Rescue & Care Project, of which 2,288 were street treatments and 1,648 were hospital admissions. We are currently receiving almost 70 rescue calls a day!
We are ourselves constantly amazed when we sit back and see the numbers in black and white like this. When we are working every day, we just see the individual animals and don't always think of the overall impact. Thank you for helping us to reach so many animals and make such a difference to their lives.
One such animal is this beagle puppy. The sad thing is that someone probably paid to have a breed dog, but when she was injured, they cruelly abandoned her. She was found not far from TOLFA by a group of children who immediately brought her to us.
She is paralysed in her back legs and we’re doing everything we can to help her walk again. She’s having special supplements and extra love as well as regular physiotherapy sessions. We have treated dogs in this condition before and have helped them regain their mobility, so we are positive about the outcome.
Thank you for your amazing support!
