You're keeping vital street treatments running!

TOLFA has been heavily hit by the monsoon this year - the heaviest monsoon in the area for 60 years!

The weather conditions heavily impacted on our work as flooding in Ajmer made some major roads impassable so our rescue vehicle could not get through. The rains also caused flooding and damage to parts of our hospital meaning that we had to evacuate and close one kennel block, move animals from the cattle shade and were unable to use our main operating theatre for a number of days.

The monsoon is over now, and we are starting to dry out, but because of the damage and need to make repairs we are currently only admitting the most urgent cases to the hospital. Our rescue teams are still out and about every day giving vital street treatments to animals in need.

These street treatments have been met with great support from the local community as people can see the amazing work we do to help the animals, often on their own doorsteps! Your support makes this possible and ensures that we are able to help the animals that really need it most.

The little brown and white puppy, pictured here with our trainee staff member Gaffar, was admitted as he had three fractured legs and needed lots of extra special care. One of his front legs subsequently required amputation but we're happy to say that he has now found a wonderful family who have adopted him!

Thank you for your continued support of our Rescue & Care Project which is saving so many lives!
