Rescue Sick & Injured Street Animals in India

Welcome to your first TOLFA Project Report of 2019!

Our 2018 statistics are in, and you won't believe the number of animals you have helped by supporting TOLFA last year!

The rescue team did an amazing job and responded to nearly 10,000 calls on our animal emergency hotline, admiting a total of  6,392 animals to the hospital for treatment!

broken down by species that includes:

• 4,766 dogs & puppies
• 208 cats
• 1,332 cows
• 19 goats
• 8 horses & donkeys
• 59 other - birds, pigs etc

Without your support we would not have been able to do so much for the suffering animals of Rajasthan, so THANK YOU for your support.

You helped lovely mum Aksha and her little pup Petal..

Aksha had an injured hind leg from a road traffic accident. Fortunately it was not broken, but she did need medical care and kennel rest. She certainly wouldn't have had much rest on the street with little Petal to look after, and life would have been very different if the TOLFA rescue team hadn't been there to pick them up.  Aksha is now healing well and much more mobile, through that doesn't stop her from being Petals' favourite pillow! Now both are happy and healthy and have a much brighter future ahead of them.

You also helped keep Thunder warm..

The Rajasthani winter can be very cold, but for a dog with mange it is especially cruel. Thunder is a very sweet dog, despite the discomfort of losing his hair and feeling constantly itchy due to the mange mites irritating his skin. He receieved the standard treatment for mange - weekly anti-mite injections, de-worming and extra vitamins & minerals. Luckily he had a bed and a roof over his head while he was recovering and he is very nearly healed and healthy again.
