Everything has been progressing at a fast pace since our last update. We have rescued 18 more Goldens from Turkey which arrived in the US in June. They were all beautiful and adjusted to their new environment very quickly.
To date, 13 have been adopted and are in their new Forever Homes. Four are ready for adoption and we have appointments for these dogs very soon. The last one is undergoing chemo for a tumor that responds very well to this treatment and should be ready for adoption with a very bright future within a month or two.
We are very excited to report that we will be rescueing another 9 Goldens and bringing them over from Turkey in the Fall.
As you can see, we are moving forward with this type of rescue at full speed but needless to say it is an expensive undertaking that requires a lot of financial support from our members and those that want to help this wonderful cause. We hope you will consider including us in your giving plans this year.
Best regards,
Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue
