Dear Friends and Family,
This report is very sad to read....
Yesterday our emergency team was alerted to a doggie that had been neglected and had serious burns. Upon our arrival our team found a puppy that had been burnt with acid. The stench is something we will never erase from our senses. We don't want to go into detail of the extent of the situation but the pain this poor puppy must have been in is just terrible and the whole experience has really upset our team.
Our project leader rushed the puppy through to our amazing and trusted vet at a local animal hospital, our team has named him Dean and he has a very long road ahead of him and we pray he will pull through. Yesterday he had major surgery and the bill is already at $2,000 and although we don't have the funds in reserve we can't give up on Dean so the local vet has agreed we can set up an account while we fundraise to cover these costs.
This project was set up to give these puppies a second chance and this is our biggest test, while we can't understand why this happens our priority now is geting Dean through but our team are also working with the police and we will ot rest until those responsible are brought to justice.
It's a very sad day for us all and we pray Dean will be alright but if you can help us fundraise for his vet bill and recovery we would be thankful as every penny is really going to be needed for this one.
Thank You!
