This project aims to rescue and support 400 children living on the streets of Dar es Salaam by providing safe shelter, food, education, healthcare, and emotional care. Many children survive without protection, exposed to hunger, violence, abuse, and exploitation every day. The initiative will restore hope by reuniting children with families where possible and helping them return to school. Through community support, these children will gain the opportunity to live safe, healthy, and productive.
Hundreds of children in Dar es Salaam sleep on the streets without access to food, healthcare, or education. Most face abuse, drug addiction, child labor, violence, and extreme poverty on a daily basis. Many have lost parents or escaped unsafe homes, leaving them vulnerable and without protection.
The project will provide emergency rescue, safe accommodation, nutritious meals, medical care, and counseling services. Children will receive access to education, vocational training, life skills, and mentorship programs for long-term recovery. Social workers will help reconnect children with safe family members and strengthen community protection systems. Regular outreach programs will identify more vulnerable children and provide immediate support and rehabilitation.
Rescued children will grow into educated, skilled, and self-reliant adults who can support themselves and their families. The project will reduce street crime, child exploitation, drug abuse, and violence within the community. Children will gain confidence, stability, and hope for a brighter future through education and emotional support. Empowered youth will contribute positively to the development and economic growth of Dar es Salaam and the nation.
