We are somewhere in the middle of our Fall Help and Fundraising campaign for The Centre For Information and Support for Large Families.
Together with Lithuanian small businessmen and traders association Klaipeda department we had activities to collect goods for kids, who started to attend school this year. Boxes with clothes, shoes, school backpacks were donated by small businessmen to support forty 6-7 year kids from large families.
On October 4, volunteers from our organization third time worked at street market “Mosquito family” selling personal second-hand goods and collecting money we need to run activities for kids from large families. (These Markets is a place where families can sell and buy second-hand clothes, shoes, toys and other family goods. This event invited citizens to the responsible use and fostering family values.)
We would like to thank all the citizens from local community who donated gently worn clothing during last few month. Thanks to them every last Saturday of the month we have Giveaway days. Street people, poor families and other people in need can choose and take clothing and shoes.
We continue to be connector between regional Food Bank and poor large families and organize food support once per week for 120 large families with more as 400 children.
But we really need your help to push through to our goals.
If you have supported project “Renovate for 2300 Lithuanian kids” in the past, this is your chance to let us know once again that you appreciate the unique combination of social support and non-formal education.
If you have never given a donation to the project “Renovate for 2300 Lithuanian kids”, this is your opportunity to help us do the work – to help families to cut circle of poverty, to donate future for underprivileged kids, to help us grow in our capacity to serve.
Please take 5 minutes today to make donation to "Renovate for 2300 underprivileged Lithuanian kids" (http://www.globalgiving.org/projects/renovate-for-2300-underprivileged-lithuanian-kids/). We need your support whether it is $25 or $50 or $200 or 500.
Blessings,
