OckhiCyclone that devasted Kanyakumari, Tuticorin and Tirunelveli Districts on November 29, 2017 has left the fishing people and island farmers struggle for sheer survival.
Clipping in The Hindu Newspaper of November 30, 2018 speaks of selected problems. Besides, loss of 204 fishermen and 300country boats, thousands and thousands of families lost houses, livestock, crops, trees, and livelihoods.
Only small help has been done. But, they need major supports. VOICE Trust appeals to Friends through GlobalGiving for help such as Educational supports(notes, notebook, stationery items, lunch boxes, water bottles, school bags, study material for college going students), Livelihoods, Reconstruction of homes, Providing fishing materials like nets, boats, etc.,
