Flood Relief Support 2025 – Sindh, Pakistan
The Society for Minors’ Protection & Development (SMPD) is deeply grateful to our local partners whose generosity helped us respond quickly to the urgent needs of flood-affected families in Mirpurkhas and surrounding rural areas.
Recent heavy rains caused severe flooding, damaging homes and crops, and leaving many families without food and necessities. Daily wage earners were unable to work, and the most vulnerable, children, women, and the elderly, were at high risk of hunger and illness.
With the support of our local partners, 30 vulnerable families received immediate assistance, including:
Food Packs (flour, rice, pulses, oil, tea & basic essentials)
This support provided stability, dignity, and relief during a difficult time.
Helped families meet basic nutrition needs during a crisis
Reduced the risk of illness caused by unsafe water
Strengthened community resilience and emotional well-being
Families expressed deep gratitude and hope, knowing they were not forgotten in their time of need.
SMPD remains dedicated to serving affected communities with compassion and accountability. We continue to assess ongoing needs and work toward sustainable recovery and livelihood support.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our local partners for standing with us. Your kindness has made a meaningful difference in the lives of these families.
Together, we continue to restore hope.
