Dear Donors,
Thank you for supporting our project, Relief for 500 Elderly Women Struggling to Survive.
In our previous report, we shared that 30 elderly women in severe need had been identified for the first phase of assistance. During further discussions, their representative, Ms. Salamatu Ejinoko, raised concerns that supporting only 30 women could cause tension among the many elderly women facing similar hardship.
We explained that the current selection was based on the donations received so far and our limited capacity. After considering her concerns, we agreed to postpone the distribution until we receive enough donations to assist a larger group fairly.
No items or funds have been distributed yet. Every donation received remains reserved for this project. Once more funds are available, we will contact the women’s representative, confirm the beneficiaries and begin the long-awaited distribution.
Many of these elderly women face poverty, family rejection, hunger and neglect. Some are treated as burdens because of their age and dependence on others. They need food, clothing, medical care and basic household supplies.
We sincerely thank everyone who has donated. We hope more people will support this project so we can reach these women without creating division within their community.
Thank you for standing with them.
