Chad is one of the poorest countries in the world. Poverty affects much of the population. It is ranked 173 out of 177 countries according to the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Human Development Index, due to its socio-economic situation caused by constraints preventing the take-off of its development. Many people are harsh realities of life and are not ready to stand for the vulnerable children. We have created our Organization since 2009, but till now we did not get help, neither from Chad Government, nor from any other individual. But as we have a Vision, we are happy to use all that we have in order to help these vulnerable children. We really did not take time to read the terms and conditions of GG, otherwise, we will waste our time and money to be in GG. It last time when our Application has been approved, that we read the full terms and conditions but it was late. We thought that by participating in Accelerator Training and Crawdfunding campaign, we can get necessary tools to contact potential donors. The training are really benefit but it cannot be applied to Chad context. Before the campaign starts, we have contacted almost all the people that we know through e-mail, phone call, Facebook and Twitter. One of them told me: "I cannot give offline, how much to give in online", another says that she cannot donate to our project because she has her own ministry. All the others just ignore all that we share. One the Press organ wrote an article to support our project. We had the courage to make several publications on the first day of the campaign. But we realized that all those who know what we are doing just do not care about our activities.
We also found that because of poverty in the country, no one is willing to accompany us. Others, on the other hand, begin to distrust us or to flee from us.
From all the above, MAISON DES ORPHELINS ET DES ENFANTS DE RUE DU TCHAD (MOER-TCHAD) withdraws its project from GG and will ask in the coming days the withdrawal of its Application because GG is not the indicated place for the organizations like ours, least still for a country such as Chad.
