The horrific Fani Cyclone, occurred during 26th April, 2019 – 5th May 2019, severely affected the coastal communities in West Bengal. As a gesture of solidarity and being a Civil Society Organisation of West Bengal and also deeply rooted to Coastal Area- ‘Sabuj Sangha’ has made immediate relief response initiative to the affected Families at Mousumi Island- Namkhana Block of South 24 Parganas District in West Bengal, India.
Immediate required Tarpaulins were distributed. The Tarpaulin was the immediate requirement for roofing the Kuchcha Houses that were badly damaged during the horrific cyclone.
Local administration and Communities welcomed the gesture shown through the initiative and expressed that the relief demands many more such essentials. ‘Sabuj Sangha’ has decided on continuing such initiative for fast rehabilitation and relief of the affected communities.
We appeal to lend hands to ill fated people of the area and we count of each single contribution in rebuilding of the lives of the affected people.
