International Disability's Day 2022 Observed
We are thankful to all the donors for providing continuous support to needy children with disabilities in Nepal. Till date, you gave us more than $37229 with 329 donors. We hope for your support during the days to come. Even in the COVID-19 worse situation, we are successful in providing the necessary support to the children. This is because of your support. GREAT THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN!
Here is a brief description of the support programs:
Disability Days Celebration
At 10 am, the rally started from Bhukutimandap, Kathmandu, and around 11 am the rally ended in Bhikutimandap, Kathmandu. The special guests who attended the program. The program was very well organized. Immediately as the rally ended, the participants were advised to be seated. It started with a short introduction to the importance of the program and thank all the people present over there for their love and support. During the announcements and also during the performance, sign language was used for the audience who cannot hear. It started with the national anthem by the children unable to see and hear. The event was quite successful in conveying the message that disability cannot be overlooked. It has to be addressed and discussed to fulfill the demand for improving their living conditions.
Clothes distribution to Children with Disabilities
This time clothes are distributed to children with disabilities of all the Patan CBR students. Altogether we provided 50 Children with Disabilities with school dress and Nepali Celebrity, Actor Nikhil Upreti came as a chief guest to motivate the children and hand over the clothes to students. Clothes are distributed to make them warm and safe from cold weather. Motherland Nepal and Patan Community-based Rehabilitation collaborated to organize this clothes distribution program.
Education Materials Distribution
Education materials are distributed to children with disabilities of all the Patan CBR students. Altogether we provided 50 Children with Disabilities with education materials. Education materials like bags, copies, pencils, and colored pencils have also been distributed to the children. Nepal Ireland Society and Patan Community-based Rehabilitation collaborated to organize this education materials distribution program.
