Al-Tebbaneh - Rehabilitation of Al-Tebbaneh Garden is a community-led initiative under the Tripoli Peace Initiative, funded by the United Nations' Peacebuilding Fund and implemented by IOM with SHIFT and the Municipality of Tripoli. The project aims to rehabilitate the public garden to create a safe and healthy space for children, youth, and residents while promoting social and recreational activities.
Al Tebbaneh Garden has deteriorated over time, creating health and environmental concerns for the surrounding community. The lack of safe and functional public spaces limits opportunities for children and youth to engage in recreational, sports, and social activities, negatively affecting residents' quality of life and weakening community interaction and social cohesion.
The project will rehabilitate Al Tebbaneh Garden by improving its infrastructure and creating a clean, safe, and accessible public space for community use. The upgraded garden will support sports, recreational, and social activities for children, youth, and families while encouraging positive community interaction and local participation.
The rehabilitation of Al Tebbaneh Garden will improve environmental conditions, public wellbeing, and residents' quality of life. The restored public space will encourage healthy and positive social engagement, strengthen community cohesion, and provide lasting recreational opportunities for future generations. In the long term, the project will contribute to local stability and community resilience through a shared and inclusive public environment.
