Poly Bag Nursery Training to 25 inmates

28 motivated inmates of the Trichy Central Prison, were given training on 'Poly Bag Nursery'. The training was conducted on raising trees like Neem, Tamarind, Drumstick, Teak, Mango, Coconut, etc; Plants like rose, jasmine, other flower varieties, vegetable plants. The trainer trained the trainees on various techniques in planting. It was also taught to mix the sand, soil and manure in the correct proportion. Preparing manure at low cost was also taught. The trainees found the training to be so effective and helpful as they can start this income generation programme once they are discharged. The Prison officials congratulated the NEw Life team for conducting the programme and the trainees thanked the organisation for its efforts in rehabilitating them.
