Dear Donors,
We sincerely thank all our donors for their kindness and support toward the Reforest 7 Villages in Ankpa with 5000 Fruit Trees project. Your generosity is greatly appreciated and gives hope to communities affected by deforestation and environmental decline in Ankpa, Kogi State.
However, the donations received so far are still not enough to begin the project, and more support is urgently needed to start the first phase of tree planting and community activities.
Many communities across Ankpa continue to face serious environmental challenges caused by years of deforestation, land degradation, declining soil fertility, and loss of fruit-bearing trees. Families are increasingly affected by poor harvests, erosion, rising temperatures, and reduced access to nutritious fruits that once supported household feeding and income.
Without urgent environmental restoration efforts, these villages remain vulnerable to worsening climate conditions, poor food security, and continued ecosystem loss.
This project is designed to plant 5,000 fruit trees across seven villages in Ankpa, helping restore degraded land, improve soil quality, support biodiversity, and provide long-term food and income sources for families. Community members will also receive training on tree care and environmental protection to help sustain the project for years to come.
We remain grateful for the support received so far and hopeful that additional donations will make it possible to begin this important environmental restoration and food security project soon. In future reports, we hope to share updates, photos from planting activities, and progress from participating communities.
Thank you once again for your kindness and continued support.
Sincerely,
Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
