Emergency Help Fund Report
The Emergency Help Fund is a financial assistance program designed to provide rapid support to people facing unexpected personal or family emergencies that create immediate financial hardship.
Through this fund, the Red Cross can help vulnerable individuals and families access essential resources when they are experiencing a crisis and need urgent assistance.
The purpose of the fund is to ensure that people affected by unforeseen circumstances—such as serious illness, accidents, natural disasters, family emergencies, displacement, or other critical situations—can receive timely support to cover basic and essential needs. Depending on the circumstances and local program guidelines, assistance may include help with food, temporary accommodation, transportation, essential household items, medical-related expenses, or other urgent necessities.
The Emergency Help Fund operates under humanitarian principles, focusing on people who are most in need and who may have limited access to other sources of support.
Each request is assessed individually to ensure that assistance is directed where it can have the greatest impact and help stabilize the situation of those affected.
By providing immediate and practical assistance during difficult times, the Emergency Help Fund helps individuals and families regain stability, reduce the impact of emergencies, and support their recovery with dignity and compassion.
