In these months we have given two workshops for soil based painting. Nevertheless, the work hasn't been that fast in this phase since it's rainy season in the community and it is raining almost every day. It has been really difficult to be able to work with soil, because it keeps wet all the time, but we need it totally dry before we make the paint.
Therefore we have been focusing on the other workshop we participate in Huejotengo, that is carpentry. We work in this workshop with the women colective called El sueño de Huejotengo.
This workshop was given during last june, all july and august, and teached 10 women how to do their own furniture so they can contribute to the reconstruction of the community; this ativities are part of our program to empower women in the community after the earthquake.
In this September, that is the end of the hardest rainy days, we will continue the program of soildbased painting workshops.
