Throughout these months we have begun to make known the technique of soil based painting and screed to different families of the community, most of them families that got damaged by the september 19th earthqueake. To date, two official workshops soil based painting have been given, in which more than 10 families have participated, as well as the members of the group El sueño de Huejotengo.
In addition to teaching the technique to more than 30 people without including volunteers, a total of 5 houses have been painted and the project has contributed to the people changing the perspective they had of their houses in gray work.
The people who have participated in the workshops have received a brochure with the necessary information so that they can maintain the painting of their houses in the future or that they can occupy that technique to offer the service and thus obtain income.
The last and one of the most important advances in this project has been the reconstruction of the social fabric, since all our participants mention that they feel a change in the perception of group work, in addition families have started to work as a team and all the participants They have agreed and mention that they would like to support their neighbors or relatives to paint their houses.
