By James Patton | Program Director, Colombia
Dear Supporters,
It is with gratitude for your generosity to date that we are providing you with this final update and project report.
As you may recall from our quarterly report in September 2015, field activities at that time included bringing together a diverse cadre of women peacebuilders from throughout Colombia to share best-practices and to create a guide for on-going and future work in reconciling former combatants with conflict-affected communities.
While crowd-source funding for our work in Colombia has not yielded the results that we had originally aimed for, your support was nonetheless greatly appreciated and fully utilized in this program.
At this time, we are positioning ICRD to serve as a co-implementor in a large multi-institutional program in Colombia and are directing our time and resources toward that end.
Reconciliation between former combatants and conflict affected communities is critical to securing peace in Colombia and to fortifying the significant progress made this past year with the Havana Peace Accords.
We look forward to sharing with you our future success with this program. Please stay abreast of our work in Colombia through our website and on social media.
With Deep Gratitude and Warmest Regards,
James Patton
Program Director, Colombia
