Hi Supporters of Knife Chief Buffalo Nation,
On Wednesday, January 18, 2012, the Knife Chief Buffalo Nation delivered 200 lbs of grass fed and field-harvested bison meat to Cohen Memorial Home, an Elderly program in Pine Ridge and 300 lbs of meat to Meals for Elderly, a Reservation-wide program that will distribute the meat to elders across the Reservation. Grass fed bison meat is a great low-fat and high-protein alternative to beef, making it perfect for elderly and/or people with diabetes.
As for the priorities listed in our appeal on GlobalGiving. We have not spent any of these funds yet as this campaign is still ongoing. Work should begin on fencing this spring. Please keep checking back for updates. If you donated, we'll send you updates via email as well.
Thank you for your support!
David Bartecchi
