As with disasters, attention drifts away and new events catch people's attention.
The time to recover from a human or material loss is variable and never completely forgotten. Life has to resume its course and move on to be able to look after ourselves and our family.
Losing our kitchens was not just losing a space in our home, the kitchen is a gathering place and a place where a lot of time is spent, between preparing daily food and producing the tortilla chips for sale. Loosing it meant giving up the income we used to cover basic needs, giving up a place to cook and where recepies and tradition were shared..
We are grateful to all the people who have been able to help us, those who have tried but have not been able to and also for those who are thinking of doing so.
We still have the hope that one day we will be able to recover our kitchen!
