There´s been some great progress for the women in Oxaca, Mexico! With Global Giving´s crowdfunding help and some other co-financing support, we´ve been able to build 10 kitchen spaces for two communities: "Cazadero Arriba" (1 kitchen) and "Cazadero Abajo" (9 kitchens) located in the municipality of Santiago Niltepec specifically.
These kitchen spaces are being really helpful for our beneficiaries and their families because thanks to them, they can continue making "totopos" and reactivate the community economy.With this project we are really changing people´s life because now they can keep going with their activities and the "totopo" making and with that, support their families and regain confidencie in themselves after the devastating earthquakes whick left them with nothing.
Hopefully by the end of the year we will achieve our goal of reconstructing 20 kitchens, we are half way, lets do it!
