Project Report | Oct 30, 2017
Schools for Children

By Aazer Durrani | Head of Marketing

The rain began bringing flooding to parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan-administered-Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan provinces as well as other parts of the country.

Pre-monsoon rains often cause damage in rural Pakistan and officials said locals had been warned to leave their villages for safer places. However, since there are lack of facilities for the villagers, therefore, for them to vacate their villages is next to impossible.

The flash floods destroyed various parts of Pakistan, at least 200 people had been killed and more than 300 injured. Besides, more than 8,000 houses and 3,006 villages had also been damaged by the floods.

As a result of which, Fatima Memorial Hospital established a school in the flood ravaged area of Dera Ghazi Khan in Habit Mastui, a small village in the district to do their bit by providing an education to the children who had been affected the most by the tragedy. This happened after the devastating floods of 2010 which affected most of the country.

We are continuously striving to rebuild the affected areas by providing education and necessities to the people. For this very purpose, we are dependent on your generous support in helping us rebuild the nation that has gone through so many difficulties.

We once again request you to continue your support during this rebuilding process.

Thank you.
