Dear Donors,
Thank you for the generousity showed by your donations to help us rebuild one more clinic in the recovering disaster zone on Samar Island, where Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda destroyed the health infrastructure in 2013. This birth center we rebuilt was for a midwife named Lorina, who had worked for Mercy In Action when we were delivering babies in tents in the aftermath; now she is in her new building where she can deliver babies in comfort and safety! So this was a sucessful project, and we are very grateful for all of you who helped.
Mercy In Action runs clinics and birth centers in several places in the Philippines on an ongoing basis, so we hope you will contine to donate to these very worthy projects. We support seven midwives in the Philippines full time, so that they can serve thousands of pregnant women and newborn babies every year.
Please consider moving your donations to our main GlobalGiving site for Mercy In Action.
