Following Hurricane Florence in 2018, many families in Eastern North Carolina are still suffering. Families continue to live in mold strickened homes, motel rooms, and with family or friends. Now, to add to the mental stress of being homeless or living in substandard conditions, the Covid-19 pandemic reared its ugly head further adding to the stress and impacted mental health of eastern North Carolina famiies.
Greene Lamp continues to provide support to families impacted. More recently, the agency assisted a family whose roof was still leaking from the 2018 hurricane. The Agency provided the materials to repair the roof and area volunteer groups provided the labor.
