Report RR life saving aid

By Nabi Bux | President

Pakistan’s flood-affected communities continue to face serious humanitarian challenges following torrential monsoon rains and widespread flooding. Many families have been displaced from their homes, lost livelihoods, and are struggling to access basic necessities such as safe drinking water, food, temporary shelter, and essential medical care.

During this reporting period, our response efforts focused on supporting vulnerable flood-affected families with immediate humanitarian assistance. Priority was given to households facing the greatest difficulties in meeting their basic needs, particularly families who had lost homes, household belongings, food supplies, or sources of income because of the floods.

Emergency assistance helped affected families cope with the immediate consequences of the disaster while reducing their exposure to further health and protection risks. Access to clean water, food, shelter-related support, and basic health assistance remains especially important because stagnant floodwater and disrupted sanitation systems can increase the risk of waterborne and other infectious diseases.

Our team continued to assess community needs and identify vulnerable households requiring urgent support. We also remained focused on ensuring that assistance reaches people in a fair and transparent manner, with particular attention to families with limited resources and those facing heightened vulnerability.

The situation remains challenging, and recovery will take time. Beyond immediate relief, affected families will need continued support to restore their livelihoods, rebuild damaged homes and community infrastructure, and regain stability.

We are grateful to GlobalGiving donors and supporters whose contributions make this emergency response possible. Their generosity is helping provide hope and practical assistance to families affected by one of Pakistan’s most difficult humanitarian emergencies.

Looking Ahead

We will continue monitoring the needs of flood-affected communities and directing available resources toward urgent priorities, including food security, clean water, emergency shelter, health and hygiene support, and early recovery assistance.

With continued donor support, we aim to help vulnerable families move from immediate survival toward recovery and rebuilding their lives with greater dignity and resilience.
