During the holy month of Ramadan, community focus naturally centers on adult worship, meaning that children attending Tarawih (night) prayers can sometimes find it difficult to fully connect with the spiritual atmosphere. Our "Ramadan Gift for Children" project directly addressed this by transforming mosque visits into an engaging and joyful experience for young ones across Türkiye. Thanks to our donors' support, YEÇED successfully prepared and distributed small, thoughtfully designed gift packages directly to children at local mosques. Filled with delicious treats and encouraging messages of kindness and gratitude, these gifts ensured that children felt actively included, valued, and celebrated throughout the holy month.
Beyond the immediate excitement of receiving a surprise treat, this initiative served as a meaningful tool for long-term community belonging and cultural continuity. By transforming night prayers into a positive, welcoming, and memorable routine, the project successfully strengthened children's emotional connection to their faith and community traditions. These small gestures of care helped nurture a new generation rooted in generosity and active participation in community life. We express our deepest gratitude to our GlobalGiving sponsors for helping us safeguard the joy of childhood and create lasting, beautiful Ramadan memories for these children.
Thank you for your generous support!
