Project Report | Jul 7, 2023
Feed the Fasting Muslims in Ramadan

By Mehmood Rind Baloch | Project Coordinator

Introduction: We are pleased to present a report on behalf of Name] (BRDP) regarding our online fundraising project conducted through the GlobalGiving platform. The project, titled "Ramadan Feed Fasting - Help Us Feed the Poor," aimed to raise funds to provide essential food items to impoverished families during the holy month of Ramadan. This report outlines the progress, outcomes, and future plans related to the project.

Fundraising Target and Achievements: Our initial target for the fundraising campaign was set at $75,000. We conducted extensive outreach, leveraging the GlobalGiving platform to engage potential donors and raise awareness about the project. However, despite our best efforts, we fell short of our target and generated a total of $287.

Food Distribution: With the funds raised, we took immediate action to purchase and distribute food items to the needy families in our community during Ramadan. Through partnerships with local food suppliers, we ensured the delivery of essential food packages to those who were struggling to afford nourishing meals during this holy month. The distributions were carried out systematically, prioritizing families with the highest level of need.

Impact: While the financial outcome of the fundraising campaign was below our expectations, the impact of our efforts was significant. We were able to provide sustenance to a considerable number of families who would have otherwise faced hunger during Ramadan. The generosity and support of our donors helped us make a difference in the lives of those in need, providing them with much-needed relief during a sacred time.

Ongoing Fundraising Efforts: Recognizing the persistent need to assist vulnerable communities beyond the holy month of Ramadan, we remain committed to generating additional funds to continue our feeding program. We understand that the current situation calls for a sustained effort, and we are actively exploring new avenues for fundraising, including other online platforms, partnerships with local businesses, and engaging with potential corporate sponsors.

Future Plans: Moving forward, we have outlined the following plans to enhance our fundraising efforts and expand our impact:

  1. Diversifying Fundraising Strategies: We will explore multiple fundraising avenues to reach a wider audience, such as hosting virtual events, partnering with local mosques, and engaging community influencers to raise awareness about our cause.

  2. Enhanced Donor Engagement: We will improve our communication with existing and potential donors by providing regular updates on our activities, sharing success stories, and showcasing the impact of their contributions.

  3. Collaborations and Partnerships: We will seek strategic collaborations with like-minded organizations, both local and international, to leverage their networks, resources, and expertise in order to maximize our fundraising potential.

  4. Long-term Sustainability: In addition to short-term relief efforts, we aim to develop sustainable solutions to address poverty and food insecurity in our community. We will explore initiatives such as vocational training programs, microfinance opportunities, and entrepreneurship support to empower individuals and families in need.

Conclusion: Despite falling short of our fundraising target, the "Ramadan Feed Fasting - Help Us Feed the Poor" project has made a significant impact on the lives of vulnerable families during the holy month of Ramadan. We express our heartfelt gratitude to all our donors for their contributions and support. We are determined to continue our efforts and generate additional funds to provide sustenance to those in need. With ongoing commitment, innovation, and community support, we believe we can make a lasting difference in the lives of the underprivileged.
