The lockdown in Kolkata has been extended to the end of August. Our children are have been given masks and raised awareness programmes are being taught to help stop the spreading of the virus. They are also participating in community programmes on various child protection issues. They were allowed to make paintings on the walls around the station with effective messages on Child Labour. The night curfew still continues but starts at 11pm rather than 9pm till 5am. There is a fear of a third wave of the virus starting in September. Local train services are still not running until at least 50% of rural India has been vaccinated.
