Comprehensive Report on Rahat floods..

The winters are here and it will be disastrous for millions who have not only lost their belongings but also their kachcha houses in the recent floods.

Our efforts continue in the flood affected states, where people are rebuilding their damaged infrastructure through community action to sustain themselves in the long run.

48 villagers of Gabgaon, Balasore district (Odisha) cleaned a pond in 2 days

As on 16th November, 2017, 58 big trucks of essential material like family kits, dry ration, tarpaulins, blankets, utensils, toiletries etc. have been reached from our various offices to flood affected parts of Assam, Manipur, Bihar, Odisha, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Uttarakhand.

So far, we have reached over 23,000 families with comprehensive 'Family Kits'. Our target is to reach 75,000 families (500,000 people approx.)

We are trying to do our bit by reaching comprehensive winter kits to the most neglected in the far flung and flood hit villages... and thus our need and demand for woolens is much bigger..

At the onset of winter, Goonj has once again launched Odha Do Zindagi (ODZ), its annual winter campaign.

Urgent needs - Woolens, blankets, tarpaulins, mosquito nets, utensils, buckets, solar light/lamp, kids clothing, sarees and dry ration. Money Matters for essential purchases, transportation and other logistics to reach material to people.
