Farm Talk continues broadcasting weekly in Zambia. The Eastern Province has low Covid-19 prevalence and farming activities are continuing largely as per normal and it’s the rainy season. Listener groups are being asked to social distance and to wear masks when they are in the local towns and marketplaces.
Lifeline Energy has been unable to visit Zambia this year. We had a lengthy visit planned in March when the lockdowns started.
Our plan is to now visit COMACO as soon as possible in 2021. Most African countries, with the exception of South Africa and Algeria have been spared the level of Covid cases seen in Europe and the US, Zambia included. Most reported cases are in the capital city of Lusaka.
Therefore, we are unable to give an accurate update of the project at present. We know our friends at COMACO are continuing their pioneering and ground-breaking systemic approach to conservation farming and biodiversity preservation.
