Dear Supporters:
We are sorry to report that the more than 1,000 Polaris radio-lights that were sent to Palu in Indonesia in November remain in customs. In our previous update, we noted that they were still in customs, however, we had every reason to believe that they would be released any day.
The Indonesian Red Cross, our distribution partner, has been working very hard to get them released and distributed, but customs is being difficult. We are unclear if the Red Cross didn't secure proper authorization, or if after the tsunami everyone was simply overwhelmed.
The Red Cross have a distribution plan for the Polaris units when they are released and they're not giving up.
In any event, we will keep you posted.
Yours sincerely,
Kristine Pearson, CEO
