*Project Report: Qurban Appeal 2026 / 1447H*

*Location*: Eastern Uganda – Mbale, Sironko, Budaka, Pallisa, Bukedea, Moroto

*Reporting Period*: 10–13 Dhul-Hijjah 1447H / June 2026

1. Executive Summary

The Qurban 1447H program was implemented to fulfill the Sunnah of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and provide fresh meat to food-insecure households during Eid al-Adha. Through the generosity of donors, [Organization Name] sacrificed and distributed animals, reaching families and individuals across 6 districts in Eastern Uganda.

All sacrifices were conducted according to Shariah guidelines, with full documentation and transparency provided to donors.

2. Objectives

1. Enable donors to fulfill their Qurban/Udhiyah obligation through a trusted channel.

2. Distribute fresh, quality meat to the most vulnerable: orphans, widows, refugees, elderly, and persons with disabilities.

3. Strengthen local economies by sourcing animals from Ugandan farmers.

4. Provide donors with timely, verifiable reports and evidence of impact.

3. Implementation Summary

Activity Details

**Animal Sourcing** goats/sheep and cattle purchased from certified farmers in Mbale and Bukedea markets. All animals inspected for age, health, and weight pre-sacrifice.

**Sacrifice** Conducted 10–12 Dhul-Hijjah after Eid prayer by qualified butchers. Takbeer pronounced. Meat processed hygienically.

**Distribution** Completed within 72 hours of sacrifice. Each household received 2–3kg of fresh meat. Distribution supervised by staff and local imams.

**Documentation** Photos, videos, and beneficiary lists compiled for each donor. Reports sent via email/WhatsApp by 14 Dhul-Hijjah.

4. Beneficiary Reach

Category No. of Families No. of Individuals Districts

Orphans & Widows Mbale, Sironko

Refugees Kyangwali Settlement

Elderly & PWDs Pallisa, Budaka

General Vulnerable Bukedea, Moroto

_Selection was done using our pre-verified database and in consultation with local leaders to avoid duplication._

_100% of donations were used for the purchase, sacrifice, and distribution of Qurban animals. Admin costs were covered separately by [Organization Name]._

5. Challenges & Mitigation

1. *Market price fluctuation*: Cattle prices rose 8% week before Eid. Mitigation: Early procurement and bulk negotiation with farmers.

2. *Accessibility*: Some villages in Moroto were cut off by rain. Mitigation: Used 4WD vehicles and coordinated with local leaders for alternative meeting points.

3. *High demand*: More families requested support than we could reach. Mitigation: Prioritized households with zero income and no family support.

7. Impact & Testimonials

*Impact*:

- individuals consumed meat for the first time in 12+ months.

- 120 local farmers received direct income from animal sales.

- Strengthened community relations and interfaith goodwill in distribution areas.[Y]

*Testimonial*:

_“My children asked me if it was Eid because they smelled meat cooking. This is the first time in 2 years. May Allah reward the one who sent this.”_ – Aisha N., widow, Budaka

8. Lessons Learned & Recommendations for 1448H

1. Start donor outreach 60 days before Dhul-Hijjah to secure better animal prices.

2. Expand to 2 more districts in Karamoja where need is highest.

3. Introduce digital donor tracking portal for real-time updates.

9. Conclusion

Alhamdulillah, Qurban 1447H was completed successfully with full Shariah compliance and transparency. We thank our donors for their trust and pray Allah accepts their sacrifice and grants barakah in their wealth, family, and deeds.
