RenovaBR

Dear Donor,  

Brazil faces a scenario of political instability, due to anti-democratic movements and disbelief in the impact of governance and corruption scandals. RenovaBR is helping change this scenario as a Brazilian political organization established in 2017 with the goal of promoting the renewal, starting from the pluralization of the country's political class, making it more diverse and inclusive. It was created by a group of businessmen, intellectuals and activists who sought to provide an alternative to traditional politics in Brazil. Therefore, we seek for people who want to be part of a renewal in Brazilian politics, in order to train and teach them about public policy, political communication, campaign organization, governance, and governability, essential pillars for the practice of good policy. For that reason, we thank you and deeply recognize your role in helping us renew the political landscape in our country.  

Carolina Guedes is a Brazilian political leader and historian of Rio de Janeiro. She was one of our students in 2022 and shared with us some words about her experiences in RenovaBR: 

“Renova was not only a course for my political trajectory, but a course for life. You learn everything: how to structure the pre-campaign, how to build a political brand, how to position yourself in the social networks. And, on top of everything, I am pleased to see the diversity of people that I am surrounded by and that can make Brazil work. Renova is the hope for Brazilian politics.” 

This is just one example of the impact we made during 2022. We formed 194 students, who can now contribute to improve Brazil’s democracy with dialogue, respect, plurality and technical performance. At the end of 2022, we published our project “Qualify 5000 New Political Leaderships in Brazil'' on the GlobalGiving platform with the goal of not simply maintaining our initiative, but of also expanding our support network globally. Therefore, during the Brazilian national elections of 2022, 354 alumni of our organization were candidates and reached the expressive numbers of more than 6.8 million votes. Among them, 18 RenovaBR leaders were elected for the National Parliament and the State's Assemblies. 

These achievements would only be possible with your generous donations from all around the world. Understanding that seeking progress and democracy stability must be a matter beyond national borders, uniting citizens in due to regional and global cooperation and development as well.
