We extend our sincere appreciation for your invaluable contribution to RenovaBR. Your support has played a vital role in our efforts to renew the political landscape in Brazil and foster a more inclusive and sustainable democracy.
We are delighted to share some exciting updates about RenovaBR. In 2022, we successfully trained 194 students, besides that, we have more than 170 alumni politicians in terms of office and more than 430 in public charges trained in our school since 2017. We keep equipping our students with the knowledge and skills necessary to contribute to the improvement of Brazil's democracy.
Additionally, our recent event, "Brasil em Debate: Economia de Baixo Carbono" (Brazil in Debate: Low Carbon Economy), attracted 221 online participants, with 120 distinguished guests and the presence of 10 parliamentarians and 7 esteemed speakers. The event focused on the urgent need for a low-carbon economy and brought together politicians and alumni to discuss this essential cause for sustainability.
Furthermore, we are thrilled to announce that we have recently opened our biennial selection process for students who will have the opportunity to attend our courses free of charge. This selective process, named "Eleições 2024" (Elections 2024), has already received an overwhelming response, with 17,716 interested individuals and 9,158 registered candidates. The seven-phase selection process will evaluate the candidates' qualifications and suitability for our program, preparing them for the 2024 elections in Brazil.
Your generous support has enabled us to organize impactful events and provide free education to aspiring leaders. We are grateful for your commitment to our mission and for being an integral part of our journey towards a more dynamic and sustainable political landscape in Brazil.
