Welcome Kida

Kida on her first day in the cat house.

Please join us in welcoming the newest member of the cat house, Kida.

Kida was entrusted into our care by the San Diego Humane Society. She was part of the large-scale rescue from Villa Chardonnay.

Like many of our cattery residents, Kida is blind. We believe that her vision loss is more recent. She seems to still be getting used to her lack of sight. She is a bit chunky and she likes her personal space, but she has slowly become comfortable with her new cat friends.

Most of our female cats are named after Disney princesses. We decided to name this girl "Kida" after Princess 'Kida' Kidagakash from Disney's Atlantis: The Lost Empire. Kida's eyes are glossed over blue due to her blindness, much like the character of Princess Kida when she uses her magical powers.

Kida loves attention and loves to show off her belly. Despite her little vision, she loves to perch on top of the cat trees. She also loves to "help" us clean by catching the broom while we sweep.

Thank you for supporting our cat house. Your compassion allowed us to welcome Kida into her safe, forever home.
