In order to support our teenage girls in the throws of puberty, we have opened a twice weekly clinic at Tapang School.
This is being staffed by the graduates of Angkor University Nurses College. The students can come for private counseling on topics such as monthly hygiene, domestic violence, gender equality. Often, they have no one to turn to for the answers to these delicate questions. Apart from lack of knowledge of the elder population, there is a cultural taboo in discussion of personal matters.
Our teenage girls can come to the clinic and have the monthly mentrual cramps assuaged, be given sanitary kits and generally counseld on their changing bodies.
We thank our valued sponsors who generously give to make this happen.
