Although we are all currently feeling the consequences of the pandemic, the inequalities and vulnerabilities that already existed have determined the specific impact of this crisis in each country, each region and each household. In this sense, Spain faces a bleak scenario in the coming years, with children, youth and families at the epicenter of the catastrophe.
Many children, young people and families need our support in the short, medium and long term due to the situation Spain is facing as a result of the crisis triggered by the Covid-19 pandemic. The support of the people who accompany us on the road to the fight against inequality is essential for our actions not only to cover a momentary need but to attack the root of the problem and make a positive impact on the lives of thousands of people.
SOS Children's Villages works to make the right to good mental health a reality, for this reason, we have family therapy services in which we develop preventive work to avoid a worsening of risk situations, while helping to improve family relationships, providing them with the necessary tools. We also work with families promoting the improvement of their parenting skills and a protective educational model based on positive discipline, which has a direct impact on the mental health of their children.
