Our mission is to support and educate children and adolescents in values, life skills, and competencies that contribute to their holistic development and social well-being.
We work with children and adolescents aged 4 to 18 in vulnerable situations in Mexico City and the State of Mexico, who come from shelters, public schools, and community centers. We serve those who lack family support networks, have neurodiversities, face psychosocial risks, or experience emotional and academic difficulties, as well as the deaf community, which faces barriers to educational, social, and athletic inclusion.
The Proyecto Cantera methodology is based on the Sport for Development approach, using soccer as an educational tool to strengthen social-emotional skills, promote inclusion, and foster a culture of peace. It is structured around progressive, planned sessions designed by trained facilitators, which center learning around the game and intentionally incorporate collaborative activities that promote empathy, problem-solving, decision-making, self-awareness, and emotional regulation.
Our vision is to be an organization that transforms future generations by fostering collaboration, a culture of peace, and community well-being to build an ethical, just, and inclusive Mexico.
