Providing Doctors with Books for Toddlers

This initiative, made possible by the generosity of our donors, connects early childhood literacy with preventive healthcare by putting books for young children directly into doctors' hands.

Through this program, pediatricians receive sets of children's books and encourage parents to make daily reading a habit with their children. The program supports children's mental and physical well-being, fosters their emotional and cognitive growth, and helps close educational gaps by giving families easy access to books from a child's earliest days.

Over the last three months, dozens of book sets have reached doctors and regional libraries, which then passed them along to local medical practices. Physicians consistently point to the initiative's value in their day-to-day work, and children respond to the books with visible joy and excitement.

Thanks to our donors, the practice of shared reading is becoming a natural part of pediatric care. Their support carries particular weight for families facing greater hardship, including low-income households, residents of smaller towns, and refugees. Beyond fostering a lifelong love of reading, this support helps strengthen families' emotional stability and psychological resilience.

It's also worth noting that the initiative has contributed to the addition of a new chapter in a pediatric medical textbook, dedicated to reading and its impact on children's development and health.
