I hope everyone is enjoying the beginning of this new year! (Despite the harsh weather many of you might be facing this last week!)
At PAVI we have been full steam ahead since the year began. We have a wonderful new patient advocate, LaAsia, who is doing incredible work with our patients. She's native to the US Virgin Islands and has a true passion for caring for this community.
We finished 2020 with record-breaking numbers! Our patients received more than $605,000 worth of medications and we obtained more than 1,000 prescriptions! Since PAVI began in 2012, we have been able to provide over $2.8 million worth of medications to patients in the territory. It will be wonderful to celebrate the $3 million milestone in 2021!
Thank you to all of our supporters who make it possible for us to accomplish our mission - to ensure no patient has to choose between their basic living needs and the mediations they need to stay healthy and alive. Without you, this would not be possible.
Warmest regards and wishes for an incredible 2021!
Angela
PS, the photos included with this quarter's update are of medical supply donations PAVI obtained from a generous donor and were then divided between three organizations on St. Thomas (The Queen Louise Home for the Aged, Yellow Cedar Residence, and Bethlehem Shelter).
