Respected Supporters and Well Wishers

Heartiest Greetings from NBJK!!

There are so many people in the world who are living a heart-rending life. They have neither a healthy living environment nor access to affordable medical care and a lack of education only worsens the problem. As a human being, it’s our prime duty to help and support them for living a dignified way of life. We herewith are very thankful and obliged to all of you for supporting very poor and underprivileged peoples of our community & society. With your support, we have conducted 1070 cataract surgeries as per hospital record, in our target area in this quarter (June to August). The donations have been used in village camping, surgeries in the hospital and other medical facilities to restore the vision of cataract patient.  We are very grateful to share this project report among all of you who have supported directly and indirectly to the needy and vulnerable persons.

Bandhani is now happy with her family:

BANDHANI, 60 years old, is a simple house wife lives in Lawalon village of Chatra district. She has three sons. All are married. She belongs to a poor family who subsists by doing farming work. She helps her family out with household chores, including taking care of her grandchildren. But her life took a turn. Her vision started deteriorating and soon became blurred. She began to ask help from her family members. After sometimes behavior of her family members also has changed. They, especially her daughters- in- law got annoyed when she asked some help. So many times she fell down because of her blindness.

But one day during a visit to the village, our camp staff identified her as a cataract patient and took her NBJK supported eye camp where she got her eyes checked and she diagnosed by cataract. Then her youngest son took her to LNJP Eye Hospital for surgery. The surgery was successful and she gained her eyesight again since 18th July 2017.

With her sight restored, Bandhani is helping her family in the house again. She is happy to be contributing to the family's work again in domestic and another day to day required activities. She is also pleased to be independent once more. When she has been told that your surgery expenses were given by donors then she gave so many blessings to donors.

Ramvtar came from darkness to light

RAMVTAR, 65 years old, is a very poor person in his village- Tetariya of Hazaribag District. He has two sons and one daughter. Daughter is married and lives separately. Sons work as labor in a hotel as daily wage workers and do not pay more attention to their parents. He also gets pension Rs.800/ which he uses to arrange two times simple food for his wife and himself. He is too old to work yet he helps his wife in house hold chores and takes care of pets.

His life was not that easy and another problem entered in his life. The cataract developed in his eyes since last two years and he was not able to do anything due to continuously decreasing vision. He became totally dependent on her wife and lost her hope to see again. Income was not that enough to be able to obtain treatment for his condition in high-cost private hospitals.

Then a relative of him took him to NBJK supported eye camp organized nearby his house. There, he was diagnosed with the cataract in his eyes. Subsequently, surgery was performed at Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Eye Hospital situated in the Chauparan block in Hazaribag district. He was overjoyed and felt very comfortable at being able to see again. He started to help his wife again and both are living happily. They convey their gratitude to the programme and donors.

These stories and feedback really encourage us to do more and more for the society. You filled the life of beneficiaries with joy and happiness.  All the operations have been done with the help of your kind donation. We are very obliged that you found us and brought hope to our fragile hearts. Their dreams will live because of you. Thank you so much for your continuous financial support by which LNJP eye hospital is running smoothly.
